Speaking of favorite songs and desert island discs, I remember getting Brad’s Shame from Kris Scheid, who lived down the hall from me and Lane in Cline Hall, and falling in love with it immediately. This song, “Buttercup”, has remained my go-to. This version doesn’t really do it justice, oddly enough.

Shawn Smith is a national treasure, and it’s criminal that he isn’t more well-known.
