My pal Steve’s band, Mondo Topless, played my favorite set at the inaugural Beat ‘n’ Soul weekend in St. Louis in November, and Lo-Fi St. Louis has video of two songs from their set. Steve’s the animal in the Stooges t-shirt pounding the drums.
Also, this is post #499. Hope I come up with something good for #500. Might have to find something cool to give away.

So my pals L & B started a music ‘zine in the heady days of the late ’90s. Even if these fellas weren’t dear friends, it would still hold the title of my favorite music/general interest publication of all time. This weekend, No Ugly Babies has been resurrected as a blog, and will remain at the top of my Must Read list until they decide to stop.

I’ve been a fan of Henry Phillips since I first heard him on the Bob & Tom Show years ago, and tonight, I had the privilege to attend a screening of his film, Punching the Clown, followed by a Q&A with the man himself. It’s the funniest movie I’ve seen in ages, and I implore you to add it to your Netflix queue or buy it from ComedyFilmNerds.com. So, so great.
